REFRESH YOUR RESUME

The Refresh Your Resume workshop was SOLD OUT and big hit last Thursday and we would like to thank everyone who came!

We would like to thank our panelists, John Stouffer, Chad Mihalick and Janice Nickloff for their expertise and insight into the industry.  It was great to hear from professionals who handle resume’s on a daily basis.

The evening could really  be summed up by one word: Quantification.  Many people don’t realize the impact of quantifying their experiences.  ”Managed event budgets” could have a much greater impact if you include the size of the budgets.  ”Managed an event budget of $35,000 for (fill in the blank) company”.  Don’t worry about the size of the budgets you’ve worked with, you never know what a company is looking for.  Making a budget profitable is also a major success, no matter the size of the budget.  You can manage a budget of $100,000 and have less to show for it than a $20,000 budget.

Based on all of the great feedback we received, it seems like everyone was very pleased with the workshop and were very excited to get busy refreshing their resumes.  We hope that you were all as inspired as we were!  We were so excited about how this workshop turned out, that we’re planning on doing another one.  We’ll keep you posted so please stay tuned.
