2010 Women in Business: Experience to Inspire in Sports Marketing
THANKS TO ALL OF YOU who joined the sold-out Women in Business last Wed. night! We spoke to several of of the 236 people who showed last night and the feedback we heard was that you were inspired, motivated, refreshed, someone even told us they were “transformed”!
We were motivated by the words of our wise women to pursue what we love, work hard and consequentially we will succeed.
We think the night can be summed up in three P’s:
- Passion: Figure out what makes you tick, where your strengths lie, what you love and integrate this into your occupation–find a job that can capitalize on these strengths and your passions, work hard and you’ll find yourself succeeding! I think Mary O’Connor summed it up best–”If you’re unhappy in your job more than you are happy, then you’re probably not in the right job”.
- Patience: Success takes time…lots of time–it doesn’t happen over night. Be patient with the process, people, the steps–take your time. It may not be the exact path you envisioned, but you will get there. Just wait.
- Perseverance: I think it was an audience member who reminded us of this last “P”. Just because you set the intention, doesn’t mean its going to happen without pursuit of the cause. Do the work, hang out with people doing what you want to do, get to know them, ask them questions, LISTEN, ask more questions, be open, find out what it takes to do what you want to do, keep going and going…until you get there!
We’d LOVE to hear from all of you or if you would like a program from the event email us directly at info@tadpolemarketing.com. Feel free to leave comments here on the site too!
In the meantime, enjoy the photos from the infamous Trevor Graves from Nemo Designs!
